The Golden State Warriors(49-9) for a third consecutive year head into the final stretch of the season with the best record in the National Basketball Association. This NBA season has shown a great amount of parity in the bottom-half of both conferences, as three games separate each respective #8 and #13 seeds. The New Orleans Pelicans made the largest splash of the Trade Deadline, as they acquired 3-time All-Star Demarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings. Through the first half of the season, Russell Westbrook and James Harden are the clear front-runners for this years MVP award, but a few potential underdogs are slowly creeping behind. We review the current conference standings and predict our potential playoff seedings, as well as justify our decision-making on our bold MVP choices.
